I had to reinstall my HP flatbed scanner 3970 and at the end of the installation I received the following message: "HP Scanner 3970 has not passed Windows loop testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP". It asked me if I wanted to continue. I didn'tg because this was the second installation and when I continued the first time the scanner did not function. I had been functioning properly previously.

If the scanner worked before on that system, it should be compatible... If you continue, it finishes installation right?

Paul, the scanner has been an excellent scanner and as I stated I uninstalled it twice and when throught entire installation 2 times and both times I was told that the installation was finnished. When I tried to scan I got the message: ("HP Scanner 3970 has not passed Windows loop testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP". It asked me if I wanted to continue.) When I continued the message kept coming back on the screen.
