Angry Please help me (HDD LED, PWR S/W, and PWR LED cords)

ok...so i start my emachine and it gives me all this information

    Intel(R) Boot Agent Version 4.1.08
    Copyright (C) 1997-2002, Intel Corperation
PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable
    PXE-M0F: Exiting Intel Boot Agent.

Reboot and Select proper Boot device
or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device

    What does this mean??

I just recently replaced my power supply now it works now my computer is giving me this error message everytime i start it up. I think i have my:

IDE controllers messed up bause it says:
    Primary IDE Master :[Not Detected]
    Primary IDE Slave :[Not Detected]
    Secondary IDE Master :[HL-DT-ST RW/DVD GCC-44]
    Secondary IDE Slave :[Not Detected]

Even though i thought i hooked them up correctly. I even tried switching the primary IDE with the other and then something else happened.

    And then, my:

HDD LED, PWR SW, and PWR LED cords i think are mixed up
if anyone knows how to resolve this infuryating problem HELP WOULD BE SO MUCH APPRECIATED OMG YOU'D BE LIKE A MINI JESUS

I cant identifty my motherboard using everest because every single solitary time i attempt to turn it on it gives me the error message. My cords are unplugged as of now and i need to pug them back in.

I have an Emachine W2888 with a celeron processor and windows XP home edition

I know where the cables go, i just don't know vertical or horizontal or which order they go in.

This is what it says on my motherboard (ive tried the intel site, no dice):

    ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
    40000909 (EM) 144901

    and

    ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
    TGSR40803855 AA C54560-202

Please help me YOU WOULD BE LIKE A MINI JESUS, im not even lying ive been trying to fix this for about a month. maybe yall could figure it.

OK...that looks like it, but what order do they go in, i cant read the chart (im a noob at computers)

My HDD LED wire is red/white
My PWR LED wire is green/white
My PWR S/W wire is black/white

i just turn on my computer and the emachine start up screen appears, then the blinking "_"

then all of a sudden it says either

im getting very frustrated with the varying IDE contollers, and where these things go. just do it like this

    ***EXAMPLE***

my little metal thingy's look like this

    O O O O O
    O O O O

now just say where they go like this

    O O O O O
    O O O O
    | | | | |
    P S H
    W W D
    R......D
    L......L
    E......E
    D.....D

It would make it much easier on my hands

Any luck on the IDE controllers? would taht give me this error also?

    Referring to the picture of the front panel header I posted earlier;
    My HDD LED wire is red/white - Pins 1 & 3
    My PWR LED wire is green/white - Pins 2 & 4
    My PWR S/W wire is black/white - Pins 6 & 8

Re; the LEDs - If they don't light, reverse the orientation (rotate the connector 180 degrees).

You slipped in while I was typing,,,

As far as your latest "error" message goes, do you have an operating system installed on the first hard disk? If you don't, and there is no bootable media in either the floppy or CDROM drives, you will get this message.

you mean like my operating system as in windows XP?

    how would i tell?

And how could i tell if my power supply is hooked up correctly, or as far as you know it is?

Did this machine come to you with XP already installed?

If so, is replacing the power supply all you have done to the machine?

There are two main power connectors to the motherboard. One is a 20 pin and one is a four pin. Are these both attached to the motherboard?

Are all your drive devices powered and data cabled?
    (Hard disk(s), CDROM(s), floppy drive)

Well that message indicates the machine isn't finding any bootable media.

Were the (40 pin) IDE cables for the hard disk(s)/CDROM(s) removed from the motherboard? If so, you have probably reattached them in the wrong connectors. ie; You probably have the PRIMARY IDE cable on the SECONDARY IDE connector and vice versa.
