I was wondering if I could do this. I have a computer, with one hard drive (HD1), and it runs XP. I just ordered a new hard drive(HD2) and I am going to make that the slave to HD1. I am thinking about running Linux on the other Hard drive, HD2. Is that possible? To have 2 os's. I want to be able to choose when I boot up which one I want to run, with the default of course being XP.
I just wanted to use Linux for my webserver, and XP for my personal computer needs.

I have been researching that exact same question & have been told that yes it will work. I thought that I'd have to re-set the boot menu in my bios everytime I wanted to switch but have been told that on setting up Linux there will be boot preferences there to select.
