    Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)

    Hello everyone

I have recently installed WinXP-Pro onto my new computerbut I am unable to set up my Netgear Wireless Router. The reason I think, is that the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) is missing.

It is likely that I asked a network not to be installed, by mistake I might add.

Can someone please let me know how I can suck the necessary files from my set-up CDRom, or must I reinstall Winxp which would not be a problem as I have not yet installed anything to the HD yet, apart that is, for XP-Pro?

    regards

    grimerz

Open Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs. On the left, click on Add/Remove Windows Components. Scroll down to and highlight Networking Services. Click on DETAILS. If Simple TCP/IP Services is not checked, add this component.

    Post back with your results.

Sorry about the delay, had a few problems with Winxp and HDs.

Thank you Dan for being here, however as the HD with my wife's XPPro installed would not work with the new mobo that I had installed, I had to do a reinstall of Winxp-pro. This was no problem whatsoever, as there was nothing on the HD apart from the Op.Sys., so I asked the install-disk to wipe it, and put a new copy on board. Everything is now fine thank you Dan.

Until my next request, just enjoy your great country.

    regards
