Hi, I'm having a small problem with my power light. It keeps flashing on and off. My PC is running fine, but it isn't supposed to do that, it never has until now. Anyone have any suggestions as to why it is doing this? I've checked the connections, temperature, etc. Everything I can think of and nothing seems to be getting it back to the way it used to be.

Never heard of that before, are you positive its the power LED and not the hard disk activity LED ?

Yes, it's the Power Led. It used to be only constantly on and I have installed another HD with Win98 and that is when it started flashing. I'm only running one HD at a time right now. The PC is running fine and I have 516 MB RAM, so I don't get it.

So have you tried taking out the Win98 hard disk and running the machine as it was before?

Yes, I go back and forth between HD's. It still flashes though. Maybe it is nothing to worry about.

If I may say this. Yes you probly have the MSBlaster Worm on your PC (or Sasser). Go here for the removal tools:

Ok, I looked there, but really didn't find anything related to my problem. It stopped flashing now and is back to normal - never figured out why it was flashing in the first place, though.

Is your computer running ok, no system slowdown or hangup and just the bizzare power led activity but everything is OK?

If I were you, I wouldnt worry too much about it. If your still concern about it you should contact the manufacturer.
