Okay, so my room mate calls me into their room and apparently their computer isn't working right. Virus scans freeze. I try to F8 into safe mode. It loads safe mode for all of 5 seconds then it force reboots. In normal mode if i try to run anything there's a bunch of popups saying "your computers infected" and it also keeps trying to download stuff on it's own. My roommate let it get so bad that I am at a loss for a solution. Any help you could offer would be great! please email me at Eternalstorm@gmail.com or reply to this post.

I would download Multi- Virus cleaner on anther computer and burn it on Cd or floppy, which ever you can use. Its available at computer geeks here:http://www.majorgeeks.com/Multi_Viru...008_d4814.html . Do a boot from CD or floppy from Bios on startup. Do a complete computer scan and delete found Viruses. Thats what I would do.

i tried that scanner, nothing. I couldn't even run it in normal mode i had to boot in safe mode w/ command prompting and run "D:/setup" which carried over to the scan... any other suggestions?

Or the easier way of dealing with it is to wipe hardrive and do clean install of Windows but you will lose all previous data on harddrive.
