An image shows full screen at start up and shut down. It appears at start up after turning cptr on and before finally going to my desktop, then it's no longer shown. It shows also, at shut-down after I've clicked the "turn off computer" button. The image stays on full screen until power off. It's strange. I want to remove it but don't know how. Does it have to do with start up configuration somehow? The image is not an image I have on file anywhere that I'm aware of. Is there some way to configure the start up and shut down process so that this image does not appear?

Many manufacturers put their logo on the screen.

If that is what you see you should be able to disable it in the BIOS Setup.
