hi therecan any1 help i tried to install my printer lexmark 1200 and it said the spool services is not on so i went into services and tried to switch on it would not switch on i did go into the registry previous to installing m,y printer and deleted lx reg im wondering if i could put the missing file/s back in the registry i think this is the problem why my printer will not show up in printers and faxes im trying to avoid a complete install of xp if possible any comments would be grateful im running windowsxp pro sp2

If you did not backup the registry yourself about all you can try is a System Restore to a point prior to your changes.

start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore

This returns the registry to the point indicated.
