    wmp codec issue

    hello everybody,

i was messing around with codecs (installing/unistalling) yesterday as my WMP wasn't able to play certain AVIs...the result is that it now plays those pesky AVIs but only plays audio (no picture) of the majority of MPGs

so, i messed up, i guess, but

    1. how is it possible to see what codecs are installed on my comp?
    2. how can i see which codec is needed for a particular movie-file?
    3. how do i get out of this mess?

    as always, thanks in advance,

    zurzu

    First: Get out: System Restore:

start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore

Choose a date/time prior to the problem.

Second: if you need a codec this pack has been good/safe for me:
