    Driver problem

    Hello,
I have a Panasonic UJ-841 DVD+RW Drive, Windows XP recognizes this drive as:
    MAT****IA DVD-RAM DRIVE
    Device type: DVD/CD-ROM drives

I guess i need the drivers from Panasonic, but I cant find them anywhere,
Can you help me find the drivers?
    Thanks in advance,
    Seywar

    Edit: Word sensoring lol "MAT****IA" (M A T S H I T A)

These drives do not require drivers. What appears to be the problem? Just the RAM designation?

Does the drive work? If so is this a new problem? Did it ever work?

Try uninstalling the drive in the Device Manager then rebooting.

    Have you installed SP2?

Did this drive ever work on this laptop? If you are replacing the old drive what happened to it?

Thats the drive, got SP3 the old drive's lense had a whopping big scratch on it, yes this the same model as the one already in there, but not the original manufacturer's disk that I installed it with I had to buy a new one.

You might want to back off SP3 as it is still Beta and may cause issues.
