    i neeed help

    1) i have a problem with my brower . when i save a link to the desktop, then i try to double click on it, it opens the internet explorer but it wont load no matter how long i leave it like that. when i click the STOP button, it says res://C:\WINDOWS\system32\shdoclc.dll/navcancl.htm. This problem is also the same when i recieve a link from my friend on msn messenger, then i click it, it will give me the same problem. so i cant open the link. I have to open the link manually by copying and pasting on the address bar.

    2) When i on my PC this morning, it was okay until i connected to the internet. Suddenly there was this blue screen with errors that totaly covered my whole screen for about 3-5 seconds and then the whole screen turned black. so i coudlnt do anything but the PC is still on. i had to restart my computer. After restarting, it asked me to send the error to microsoft, i click the report and manage to extract the error that it was about to send.

this thing happened today once and also about 3-4 days ago. So in total, it happened twice already

Please just use black type. Red is hard to read. Thanks.

You might try installing IE 7 from Windows Update as well as all Critical Windows Updates.

You might also ask Neal about res://C:\WINDOWS\system32\shdoclc.dll/navcancl.htm as I note that is a malware infection. He would know more about it than I.

Try installing IE 7 plus all Windows Updates.

It is strange that some of your HijackThis logs show IE7 and some show IE6.

Plus as Neal suggested did you read some of the Google hits:

    Install all Windows Updates.

If this does not help consider running a Repair Install of XP.
