If it is a new problem you could try a System Restore to a point (date) prior to the problem:
start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore
You can also check your Device Manager and attempt to reload drivers there.
Also what is the make and model of the computer or motherboard?
Reloading the chipset drivers might help.
BIOS Setup is usually accessed by pressing Delete after you power on the computer. Usually you will see "Press Delete to enter Setup".
Some HP & Dell use F2 instead.
