hi could you tell me whats happening with my windows xp... lately its started loading pages really slow and a mesage comes with little yellow shield saying done but with errors on page all pages are takin a long time to load i have done clean up and get rid off temp files and de frag the pc is only 7 months old ie 6 service pk 2 many thanks in advance

I'd suggest reading the following and posting a HijackThis log over in that section:

After they give you an all clear you should update to IE7.
