hi t every one am here to see if any one can help me please.got the net for my kids 4 weeks ago.at first every thing was fine.now thou the pc is running very slowly(nearly at a stop). we are on windows xp.the pc is 2 yr old but the net only been on a month. i no nothing about pc at all and as my kids are only 10 and 11 they dont understand the working of them so any help in clear english would be great. was using norton but read on net it was not good so took that out added avg.free and added a free spyware from the google pack and running ccleaner.at first this seemed to help but am now back to square 1.in fact worse than square1. i use mozilla firefox but I E is on this pc and it opens up when it feels like it with big adverts i have no interest in.also when i try to shut anything down it comes up not responding and have to press the end now button. but there has been times where have just had to turn it off at socket cos nothing was happening.so these are my problems any one who can help in language i can understand. please do help, thanks inadvance i hope. also did not no what info you needed so if u need anything else please ask also forgot to say have downloaded something called spybot.but dont really understand it when it asks if i wanna deny or allow changes. i no i am hopeless but am sure(maybe) that every one started somewhere.

hi jephree.am not sure if you will see this cos was a bit ago i first asked my question.i did as you said and went to other place you sent me to. am really sorry but i dont really understand all that i have to do.i no i am a pain cos am useless at all this pc stuff.i just dont no how to do things on pc.so it was like reading a foreign language.i had a look throu other peoples posts but i dont understand all the stuff they put and where they get it from or even where i would look for the info you want.i realise this site is out of my depth and that you are busy helping people so i wondered if you could point me in the direction of a site that is quiet where they may be able to help me slowly and in very simple terms.thank you very much for trying with me i appericiated it alot thanks again from yabs

If it pops up a yellow bar on the top of the page right click that and chose download.

Save it in My Documents.

Click on the icon

Click on "Do a system scan and save a log file"

A notepad will pop up with the log file.

Copy this log file in its entirety.

Paste it into a new thread here:
