Hello every one

My problem is that when i select all the contents of my C drive, the total space the contents have covered is 4 GB but the free space which my C drives shows is 2GB. The drive has windows in it and the total space is 10 GB so according to the contecnts space the free space should be 6 GB but in drive properties it is only 2 GB free space.

Please help me, the contents also include hidden files and folders.

please tell me how to recover this space.

In other words did it read OK previously?

Is C: listed as 10GB?

Is the drive partitioned?

Check Disk Management:

Right click My Computer then click Manage then Disk Management

thnkx for your reply but my C drive was OK before but after some time of usage its space has been eaten up.... Secondly my total Hard Drive is 40 GB partitioned into 4 parts..
