    Trouble with user on start up

    When I start windows up i get the screen where half says welcome and the other half as my user pic and i have to clik on it to load settings This as only just started happening and i dont know how to get it back I am the only user on my pc Can you tell me how to get it so my settings just load xxthanks janet

    start > Control Panel > User Accounts


    Change the way users log on or off


    UN-check: Use the Welcome screen

    Hi Thank you for your reply ..i tried that but I get another box come up that saus enter password ...Before I just switched on and everything set up ..Now I have to clik on user box ..It only happened after my pc froze and I had to illegally shut down ..Somethingmust have reset itself but dont know what xxthanks janet

    Also run your virus scans etc.

    Such changes "just happening" can be very suspect.

    Of course the "cut power" shutdown could also have affected changes.

    SORRY i USED THE SECOND METHOD ON FIRST LINK YOU GAVE ME THE TWEAKUI and Installed Powertoy ....I have changed my antivirus as i had Norton on and was having a lot of freezing troubles hence the bad shutdown ..i was adviced to take it off or purchase more RAM ..I took it off and now have AVAST and it seems to be working a lot better apart from this little problem xxxthank you I will be back next time I have a problem xxxhugs janet

    TweakUI is a useful tool to have and it is so small that I would keep it.

    Avast is much better than Norton.
