How to permanently delete passwords from Outlook, OE etc.

Re: How to permanently delete passwords from Outlook, OE etc.
Yes, both the 'Password-Protected Sites' have entries under the 'Username' and 'Password' columns apart from 'Resource Name.' Against the 'Resource Name' is my ISP's address/DSL Router followed by my user names and passwords.
With your simple and clear exposition, I was able to easily understand the meaning of the second para of your mail/letter, about which I was not quite aware of, hitherto. Now I only need to know the correct address to by typed on the address bar to access the the dialog box that pops up to input the User name and Password and from there I can check or uncheck the 'Save Password' box. So this is all pretty clear now.
I did try to remove the messenger information from my system following your helpful instructions. I deleted all the 3 entries from 'Manage Network Passwords' of my User Account. One of the passwords did relate to 'Passport.' I restarted the PC and ran the 'System Info' again, but it still displayed the following 'secret':
Resource Type: Inactive Messenger.
User Name: It had my existing and active hotmail account's address (which had been deleted from 'Outlook' and/or 'Outlook Express' long back, then configured in Thunderbird, and presently configured in 'Windows Live Mail' where the password is saved for automatic log in).
Password: It very much displayed its password much to my chagrin.
I don't know why the said password is still being displayed even after carrying out the above instructions and I will therefore earnestly request you to kindly enlighten me on this matter and on the steps that I should take to stop this password from getting displayed at all.
I thank you very much for your help.
