Trying to watch DVD movies on my system but I don't have a DVD decoder. Can't run Windows Media or Interactual players.

Where/how do I correct this problem? Is a DVD decoder similar to a driver that I can install or is it a program?

I have tried installing other DVD player programs but have the same problem with them. None of the DVD player programs will play the DVD because I don't have a DVD decoder.

I am trying to find a DVD decoder that I can install on my computer. Then I can play DVD movies through any program, such as media player or inter actual.

What is the make and exact model of your display adapter? ie;

Nvidia GE Force FX 5200,
ATI All In Wonder 128 TV,
ATI XPERT@PLAY 98,
Intel 82845G/GL,
etc.

Got it to work. I found an old DVD program that came with the drive in storage. Installed the program and the DVD decoder was installed with the program. Funny how Interactual or Windows media player don't have the decoder with their software.
