    USB problem

I have a Sony Viao with XP on it and have suddenly got a problem with usb ports. I turned on my computer and a baloon came up saying if I plugged my usb hardware into a usb2.0 port, they would work faster. This computer has usb 2.0 which has always worked fine. I thought if I put a new usb 2.0 card in, that woud solve my problem. It also comes up saying if I plug the devices into usb2.0 they will work faster. I tried doing a system restore to when I didn't get that message, but that didn't help. I am at a loss. HELP
    Thanks
    Earl

Try, right-click 'My Computer,' select 'Manage,' Double-click 'Universal Serial Bus Controllers,' and ensure ALL your USB devices are mentioned.

What devices do you have that are USB? Unplug them 1 at a time to isoloate what device is causing you this issue, then we can go from there.

Try this. It may or may not help. However you can look at all the USB problems and their answers, you may find one that will help?
