Well I dont have the disk but can I use my aunts? She has the code and the disk but im installing service pack 2 right now so i'll see if it works

You need the Product Key for your own computer.

If it is a Dell or HP etc. then you need to use their own recovery CD's.

Actually it's an emachines I think hers is a compaq? Well it looks like SP2 is installing fine right now but when my computer restarts can i boot it in safe mode and will SP2 be there?

You will need the eMachine recovery disk if you need to reinstall XP.

Or else purchase a new version.

See what happens with SP2. It might fix it.
