    Yes.

You might check the other Registry headers as well.

    Look under Software etc.

Okay I backed up my registry and deleted the Office folder in it. Rebooted and the popups still popup...

    Thanks for your help.

Did you check the other Registry headings for Office listings?

I went through the rest of the registry looking for Office under Software and got rid of what little I found. Rebooted and the popups are still a popp'in...haha...

Thanks again for any help you can give me.

    My next two thoughts are:

    1) Try the Default Admin account in order to see if your account alone is corrupted. In XP Home edition the Default Admin account is only accessable via booting into Safe Mode. Depending on your login choices there are various ways to access this account. If you use the Welcome Screen then Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE in order to bring up the User Menu and choose Administrator. This account should be in a "pure" state as it has never been used.

The goal here is to see if using this account in Safe Mode has the same problems. You could also just check to see if your own account in Safe Mode behaves differently.

    2) Disable Windows Installer.

The only thing here is that anytime you wish to download something you will have to go back and enable Windows Installer.

    System Key:

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Win dows\Installer]

    Value Name: DisableMSI

    Data Type: REG_DWORD (DWORD Value)

    Value Data: (0 = default, 1 = admin only, 2 = disabled)

I just did an AutoRun and will show you the picture for an Office entry and am wondering if that might be some kind of a problem?

I will start doing what you suggested above...

    Try unchecking it.

You can always go back and change it if necessary.

Well unchecking that didn't help any. Popups still popping...haha...

I'm not really too excited about disabling MSI as down the road I would somehow forget what I had done and probably lose any instructions I had for starting it up again...haha...

I'll look in to the Admin stuff later or in the moring. I am a morning person and this is the wrong time of the day for me.

Thanks so much for your help my friend... CU tomorrow probably...

I booted in the safe mode and tried starting programs that would make the popups popup in both the "Administrator" and the "Owner" accounts(the account I use all of the time) and something flashed on the screen that I assumed was the Windows Installer dialog box (It flashed up and disappeared so quickly that I really couldn't tell what it was).

Thanks for showing me how to shut off the Windows Installer but as I said before I don't think I want to go that route.

I really appreciate the effort you have put in trying to help me get rid of these Window's Installer popups and if you feel like you have exhausted all ideas that you have in your bag of tricks I understand that...

Either way I really do thank you for your help.
