    Question Bsod?

    Just got the BSOD 2 times in the last hour the information is a Kernal_Stack_Inpage_Error, STOP: 0X00000077. Also had a look in the event manager and it is full of errors;
    Source= Service Control Manager
    ID= 7000.
    I have a feeling that there is something on the PC that is not configured correctly but have no idea how to start checking this out.

    Have downloaded debugging tool and the debugwiz tool but could not get them to run.

    Any help on this much appreciated.

    KERNEL_STACK_INPAGE_ERROR (77)
    The requested page of kernel data could not be read in. Caused by
    bad block in paging file or disk controller error.
    In the case when the first arguments is 0 or 1, the stack signature
    in the kernel stack was not found. Again, bad hardware.
    An I/O status of c000009c (STATUS_DEVICE_DATA_ERROR) or
    C000016AL (STATUS_DISK_OPERATION_FAILED) normally indicates
    the data could not be read from the disk due to a bad
    block. Upon reboot autocheck will run and attempt to map out the bad
    sector. If the status is C0000185 (STATUS_IO_DEVICE_ERROR) and the paging
    file is on a SCSI disk device, then the cabling and termination should be
    checked. See the knowledge base article on SCSI termination.
    Arguments:
    Arg1: 00000001, (page was retrieved from disk)
    Arg2: 5d20856a, value found in stack where signature should be
    Arg3: 00000000, 0
    Arg4: f0895c34, address of signature on kernel stack

    Try running Check Disk:

    Go to start Run... and type: cmd

    Then type: chkdsk /r

    You will be told the volume is in use do you want to run chkdsk on next boot? Type: Y and reboot.

    Ran chkdsk no problems found, could not read all the printout as the screen cleared itself before I could make any notes. Got the BSOD again yesterday, in the event log managed to copy the following from it;

    Event Type: Error
    Event Source: Service Control Manager
    Event Category: None
    Event ID: 7000
    Date: 14/12/2007
    Time: 14:59:55
    User: N/A
    Computer: N/A
    Description:
    The ZDPSp50 NDIS Protocol Driver service failed to start due to the following error:
    The system cannot find the file specified.

    After starting my pc just minuets ago checked event manager and it is full of the error’s as noted above. Any ideas how I can get this error sorted.

    Just to check it out you might want to post a HijackThis log over in this other section:

    Run a Search for ZDPSp50.sys on your computer.

    Should be: System32\Drivers\ZDPSp50.sys

    I am curious who (what program) put this there or is expecting it to be there.

    ....

    Anyway two other tracks:

    1) Run the manufacturers diagnostic on your hard drive.

    2) Run MemTest. http://www.memtest.org/
