ATTRIB
Use the attrib command with one or more of the following parameters to change the attributes of a file or a folder:
-R
+R
-S
+S
-H
+H
-C
+C
Notes:
+ : Sets an attribute
- : Resets an attribute
R : Read-only file attribute
S : System file attribute
H : Hidden file attribute
C : Compressed file attribute
You must set or clear at least one attribute.
To view attributes, use the dir command.
Hence -C

I tried C:\windows\system32\drivers attrib -c -r -s
and it didn't work so then I tried just
-c
what should I do
-
What is the bare command line? C:_ ?
If you compressed the entire drive C I would try:
C: attrib -c
or
C: %systemroot% attrib -c

Alright, I was able to fix it so now everything works again but sometimes when I plug in a flash drive and try to transfer stuff from it to the computer it restarts.
-
Only sometimes?
I'd say you made a lot of progress.
Remember that motherboard predates flash drives.
Is plug and play in the BIOS?
Does it work when you boot with the drive already installed?
-
It says Plug and Play Aware OS yes in the bios,
-
When I restarted it I think it may have messed it up because now it's all in 4 colors when it starts but it fixes itself back to the normal 1024x768
what could be causing this?
It seems like the video card driver didn't load it's an NVidia card and normally there is an icon in the system tray for it and there isn't one.

Is the card listed in the Device Manager?
If not then you probably will see yellow exclamation marks.
If so reload the drivers for that card. Always remember to uninstall any old graphics drivers first.
They would be in the Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs
