    Exclamation error check crash

    Hmm - i honestly don't have a clue about this .

Everything is running fine - 2 x 250 sata internal drives and an external 320 ide drive on usb2 - I'm getting application hangs , adaware and recently this morning the anti spyware on ZA pro - I checked the event viewer log and have a ftdisk error on boot up - decided , as you would to error check the boot drive , used both check boxes , went back to bed and let the computer do it's thang . Got out of my bed ( somewhat unwillingly ) and chkdsk had stalled at 51% - this is a new hitachi 250 gib sata , fresh install of xp pro - anyone want a computer , free !!

    Any ideas ?

    Asrock p4vm900
    P4 3.46 HT processor
    Radeon XD 2600 GFX
    1536 RAM
    2 x 20 DVD RW
    600W raw psu

Any ideas on the problem would be greatfully accepted .

    Thnx

    Hi

you can try the command chkdsk /r in command prompt (Start > Run > type cmd > type chkdsk /r) it will ask for a permission to run chkdsk next time your computer start type Y and restart your computer. Chkdsk will run now if its stalled there can be problem with your hardrive. It is advisable to replace it.
