Hi,
I opened a MS Word file from an email (clicked 'OPEN') and forgot to change the save folder to which it went. I proceeded to work on the file while saved to the Temporary ie5 folder forgot i didnt move it to 'My Documents' and closed the file.
When I realized what I had done I reopened the file from the email to see where it would save to once opened, not realizeing that if files have the same name in this folder they overwrite eachother instead of adding a suffix number (1), (2) etc... to the end.

So can anyone tell me if I can get this orginal file back? and how?

You could try Recuva its free. It works great I deleted some files that I needed to turn in and it recovered them with no problem.
