I have 1 firewire port but unfortunately one of my children broke it accidently by inserting wrong way round the connection from the camera to the pc.
Only way round this problem for me was to buy an external hub. Looked round the net & found what I thought was ideal. I bought 'HP USB 2.0/FireWire Combo Hub'. Hmmmmm.

Please can you help me... Once I set it up my pc started to go wrong.
It opened as usual, desktop appeared & before I could check my emails the pc went off, then came on again... kept doing this over & over.
I then unplugged the combo hub and everything went back to normal again.
Is there something I did wrong or can you give me any advice.
I'm desperate for this to work as I am filming 3 performances over 3 nights & then making DVDs to sell to raise funds for the children in my daughter's dance school. I do this every summer & Christmas to do my bit for the school.
Thanks for anything you can come up with
Eileen xxx
