I wanted to download SP2 on My DELL XP Dimension computer but cannot receive any downloads anymore from the Microsoft Download page. I have my automatic downloads on but get no downloads. When I try to go to the Download page I get"Cannot access website- error # Ox8024D0070.
I downloaded from http: //DjLizard.net/software the program "Dial-a-fix that includes "secedit.exe". When I ran (in safe mode) Dial-a-fix" an error messge appeared stating to run first secedit.exe which I did but that program stated "cannopt open file nee secedit.chm. I was hoping that the combination of those programs might fix the "unable to download problem", but it didn't work". I really need to be able to downlaod all those missed fixes before even trying to download SP2. I have recently cleaned my computer thoroughly no virus, malaware,trojans are found.

Thank you for all your information. From all of it I was able to thoroughly clean my computer and finally start to download all my windows update but most importantly I finally could download Service Pack2 for my computer. I used a program called Dial-a-Fix which really fixed all my downloads. I also used, thanks to your help a varietyof cleaning programs Combo Fix, SDFix, and Dr. Cure-it as well as High-JackThis to send you back info. I just mailed your site a PayPal donation.
