as i'am new to pc's i have two problems, when i start up my pc an installation wizard wamts to install pci, but will not finish the installation. second problem is that my windows media player states that there is no device, but it will play video clips but with no sound, need help please

no, only had pc for a couple of weeks, have put several pieces of software on. media player was ok until yesterday.

You might try a System Restore to a point prior to your problem:

start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore
