when we want to change the desktop background we go through the regular motion and set a background image. recently the number of pictures to choose from has vastly increased -- instead of pulling from a specific directory it seems to be directing every image in the "my pictures" folder into the choice menu.

we have a folder set up for just the wallpapers we like to have on there, but everyother picture seems to be pulled into the same choice menu.

we would prefer if this wasnt so. if we moved the pictures into their own folder away from "my pictures" would it correct this issue? or do we need to burn them and delete them from the computer?

This folder should be at:

C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper

You should be able to remove any other folders or files within this folder if they exist there.

You can also run a search for "wallpaper" and all available locations should be found. Again you can edit (move or delete) these files and folders.
