XP 'Tools'
Apart from the improvements listed in the emails D-A-L sent out a while back, are there any tools for improving XP performance that you chaps (and chapettes) would recommend? Or, probably more important, avoid at all costs? There seems to be dozens available on the internet. They claim to speed up this or simplify that, but I haven't got a clue what they're on about most of the time.
Is there a toolkit that's worth keeping for 'those little problems'? You know, just like the toolkit in the garage: screwdrivers, spanners, hammer.
Apologies if this question has been answered already, but a quick scan of recent entries didn't reveal it to me.

Not so much "performance" related, but a handy repair tool is Dial-A-Fix;

Another I like is NT Reg Backup (ERUNT);

Thanks, Dan. I already have ERUNT, but Dial-A-Fix looks interesting.

No further comments in a week. This makes me very suspicious of those many websites offering tools - are they really of any value?
