Hey, i have a Compaq Armada e500, and i installed Windows 98Se on it earlier today, but it didn't work out that good (cant get sound to work, and i cant install any programs). So i went and popped in my Windows Xp disk and it wont boot up the disk, I got the BIOS set so it will read CD, Floppy, HDD, but it just boots right up to windows, any ideas of how to get this to work? I can't even boot up using a Floppy disk to format the HDD that way.

The BIOS must not be right.

If the Boot order is indeed:

1) Floppy

2) CD ROM

3) HDD

and it boots the HDD first then reset the CMOS and then reset the BIOS Boot Order.

Turned out that dvd rom doesn't like my Windows XP disk, and i forgot that i had to use my Back Up Copy on the Laptop. Thanks for the help thow
