I am having trouble getting more than one web page at a time.When I
minimize a web page and bring up another ,the first one goes off.
thank you Mike Relue
Click Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Restore. Create a new restore point.
Then click Start, Run, type in regedit and hit ENTER
Navigate down to;
(Click on the KEY, then click on the plus sign (+) to the left of the KEY to expand it. Click on the next desired key the same way until you get to the desired key. Your location (the KEY you're on) will be along the bottom bar of the RegEdit window.)
In the Right hand pane, right-click on the MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server and choose MODIFY. In the window that pops up, click on DECIMAL, then enter or change the value in the Value data box to the number ten (10).
Do the same for the MaxConnectionsPerServer key. (Again, in the right hand pane.)
When you start regedit, the major KEYS will be listed on the left hand pane. (See attached photo)
The HKCU = HKey_Current_User. Click on that key. Then click the plus sign to the left of the KEY. Keep going down through the KEYS until you are on the HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Int ernetSettings KEY.
Dear Dan
I Appreciate all your time one this.The problem I have is my list is not
the same as the picture you sent.I don't have either of the MaxConnections
when I open Internet settings. Mike Relue
Thank you for the new Reg file. I did as you said and added the reg file,
but was not ask to use MERGE. Anyway the two Max files I added where all
ready on the value of ten,so I reset them to the same value and did a restart
but I still have the same problem, only one web page at a time.
Thank You for your time, Mike Relue
PS I also did a restore point
Open IE. Click on (the Menu Bar) TOOLS, INTERNET OPTIONS, ADVANCED tab. Scroll down under "Browsing" and if there is a check mark in the box for "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts", remove it. It will take effect the next time you open IE.
Dear Dan,
I got your latest thread,and it worked. Something so simple,anyway,thank
you for all your help.I seem to learn something new about the computer every
day.
Mike Relue
You're welcome. I should have caught that the first time around. I was working a similar problem and I automatically thought of/went to ~that~ resolution, instead of thinking it through for your problem. Sorry it took so long. ;>}
