my pc has suddenly slowed when launching explorer and shuts it down at random times.

i have run my protection software (from NTL) and it says i have no viruses or spyware.

i have just rebooted and the firewall is asking if i want to allow h8o8geul3.exe to connect to the internet.

does anyone recognise this? looks a bit odd to me but i don't know.

thanks for any help. i have only formatted the whole system in the last week and i just hope this doesn't mean it's FUBAR'd.

Please read THIS and after completing the steps outlined post a HijackThis log over in that section along with a brief description of your problem.

The security / spyware section of D-A-L works a little differently to the rest of the site. We currently only allow Head Security staff to reply to others threads to ensure a high level of support and quality is maintained with the daily issues which require a certain level of knowledge in this area.

File looks suspicious for 2 reasons...

1) Google it, and you find nothing about that file, and

2) I looked at your Hijackthis log file from another site i found through the google search (odd, your the only one in the world looking for this file ) and hijackthis sees this file as being an unknown process

personally i would say, follow nortons advise and dont allow this file to run.
