Hi,

I recently re-formatted the HD on my laptop I have now re-installed most everything, however a couple of applications report that DirectX is not (DirectX intialisation failed) I used run ->dxdiag it appears that DirectX in not working.

I downloaded the Video and Audio drivers from the www.clevo.tw.com site (ATI789_WHQL and 888E_Audio).

In dxdiag it reports that Directdraw Acceleration, Direct3d Acceleration and AGP Texture Acceleration are all not available.

I went on to the MS site and downloaded dxwebsetup.exe and ran it to load DirectX 9.0, this appeared to install OK but still DisrectX is still not working - help please.

The computer is a Mesh that is a rebadged Clevo 888E.
