i need some help with my speakers. they wont play anything i have tried alot of stuff and the furthest i get is the computer saying "No active mixer devices available." But they are plugged in.

I had a virus and one of my friends had a system restore disk that i used, because i lost mine, maybe that has something do with it.

any suggestions?

Did you try installing any new drivers for your computer or the speakers? That would be my best guess

is your Friends machine the same as yours?

what make and model machine is it?

i haven't tried to install new drivers. How would i do that?

It is the same make which is Gateway, however i dont think it is the same model but I'm not to possitive about that.
