Boot Disk Error
I switched on my PC this morning and it loads to a single line saying
Disk Boot Error please insert boot disk and press enter
The problem is i have a OEM loaded version of Windows XP so i do not have the system boot disc. Could really use some advice. I dont seem able to go anywhere such as safe mode either.
Please help.

First, do you have a legal license for Windows? How about the PC maker's recovery disk? Is there a recovery partition? What is the make and model of the PC?
Make sure you don't have a floppy disk in the floppy drive.
Then see if you can boot into the BIOS Setup Menu. If you can, check to see if the drive(s) is properly identified.
You can also try to reset the BIOS - check manual or pull the motherboard battery for about 30 seconds, while observing proper ESD precautions (power off, UNPLUG, touch bare metal).

ITs an old HP Pavillion 424.uk. It's a legel copy of windows i just dont have any boot or recovery disks i think they might be on a seperate partition tbh
Reset of bios did not have any effect
