    Red face Virus Found LOP

During a scan, it was discovered that this computer has the virus..LOP. I cannot find a way to remove it without having to buy something. I am a novice computer user(senior citizen)fixed income..cannot afford to buy all these gadgets!
Please help. As you have noticed, I am running windows xp s2. Been running pretty good up to now.
I might add...this virus is in Documents and Settings\Brian\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files.
My husband and I share this computer. I do more searching and playing than he does.
    Any questions?...bshobson@verizon.net THANKS

Id start off by clearing your temporary files. (not sure how much that will help, but its worth a try)

Next id probably run a couple of online scans. Id recommend BitDefender Online Scan(it can take a while) and NOD32 Online Scan.

This could help out until someone who knows about Hijack This logs arrives. Which to get someone to look at a Hijack This log, you have to follow this sticky! I think there it says a good free anti-virus would be AVG.

Please read THIS and after completing the steps outlined post a HijackThis log over in that section along with a brief description of your problem.

Do not post HijackThis logs in this section please.

Sure you can. I was just adding the next step.

The above post is just a "canned" post I use to point people to the HijackThis section.

Hi. I appreciate all the help with my problem. I
took the advice to empty temporary files, and then
I used the bitdefender online scan. There were some viruses found that were able to be cleaned out. Then
there were viruses that could not be cleaned and a
suggestion that my computer is infected. Not sure what to do now. Should I run the other scan?
    Waiting to hear from you.
    Shirley
P.S. The anti virus program I have is the AVG. It's
    the Free version.
