I would just wait until it starts crashing again; if it does.

I doubt that you have any motherboard or RAM problems.

The hard drive is a possibility but nothing has been definitive so far.

Sorry for being so vague but without more error details it is hard to pinpoint.

If the system is not currently not crashing just wait until it does or hopefully does not.

Thanks for all your help to this point, I realize that my options for a working solution are evaporating here. Im very confident that it will continue to crash Can you think of any reason why its not creating the kernel dump? given what we've covered so far, what would you do next? I think I will purchase a new HD tomorrow, install xp and see if that fixes the issue, beyond that I don't really know what to do to fix this.
