    Logon after installing NetFrameWork 1.1??

Hello Everyone: I always start my xp home without using a username or password, but all of a sudden now when I start up I get a "Owners" screen and I have to click on that before it loads my information and then starts Windows!!
Last night before Beddy Byes (LOL) I installed the Microsoft NetFrame Work 1.1 because I need it to run a OCR (optical character recognition) program.
After that is when this started and I dont know why?
How can I get it back to just start Windows without any logon or password again? Thanks

That is an old version of .NET Framework. I would get version 2 at Windows Update.

That being said .NET Framework uses its' own User Account: ASPNET.

This might have "triggered" the multiple account issue.

Try going to User Account under the Control Panel and select "Use the Welcome Screen".

I know it is an old version, but I have this OCR (optical character recognition) utility downloaded and ready to install, but it said I have to install the 1.1 version first, so thats what I did, and it did create a third account on my pc (see attachment) and it changed the way I log on. I tried what you said about the welcome screen but saw no option to change it there.
What do you think, any idea's, Thanks

Did you click: Change the way users log on or off?

Yes, and its already set with a check mark in the "use Windows welcome screen" and it was working til I installed the netframe

    Try un-checking it.

I did, it was worst because it then showed the log off screen options, so I re checked it.
I did not realize Netframework would set itself up as a limited user nor do I understand why it has too?
There must be a way to stop this log on screen from coming up?

    See if this helps:

Just as a recommendation I would password protect your account and go through the login process. But the above might help if you do not wish to.

    No problem. Glad it worked.

As mentioned in the link I would get the latest Service Packs.
