Disable "Copy" dialog?
Someone recently asked me if I know a way to disable the "Copying" dialog that opens when you copy a file. When you copy a large file, it can be a little annoying to have that dialog cluttering your screen.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help!

I'm not sure what you mean. If you (or this someone) right click on a file and select copy, are you saying a "copy to" box appears? What happens if you highlight the file, then on the top menu, select Edit, Copy, what happens?

Hi Digerati,
Thanks for your reply. I'm referring to the default dialog where 2 folders are shown, with the document flying from one to another, with the remaining time shown. There is no minimize option for that dialog. Is there any way (including third party applications or tweaks) to disable this box?

If you want to move it out of the way, just drag it to the bottom of your screen near your clock. From there drag it under your task bar ( make sure your task bar is always locked, not hidden ).
No need to go in and disable it.

Hmm, I don't know how to disable that. And I don't know why you would - it provides important status. I would use Steve's suggestion to move it out of the way. Do note that copying files is, obviously, extremely disk intensive so overall computer performance will be significantly impacted until the copy operation is complete, whether the window is there or not.

Just open another application window, and it'll cover it.
