Hi please help

When I first start up my PC there are a few windows pop up telling me to update things like old antivirus etc which I no longer have. I have to click off all these before I start.

Check "msconfig/startup tab", first. There may be some references to those old programs. If so, uncheck them.

Have these "old" programs/applications been uninstalled through Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs?

If so, you may have remnant registry keys left behind. (Not all programs uninstall cleanly.)

As a first measure, download/install/run CCleaner

http://www.ccleaner.com/download/

This may remove the leftover junk from the registry.

If this doesn't solve the problem, post back as there are other cleaners/methods available to resolve such issues.
