i have been to market this morning and a guy was selling loads of computer stuff including software and os i bought winxp pro of him for £25 but when i got home and looked at the cd it looks like a copy.

is there any program or online tool that i could use to scan the disk to check whether everything is there and that it is genuine i just dont want to install it on one of my comps if there is crucial files missing.

any suggestions would be appreciated

I should imagine XP pro for £25 is a copy, did you have a COA without a legit COA you can't use it

yes it has got one on the case but i think he has put a copy of the cd in i dont want to try to put it on the comp without checking everything is there.

if it is a copy i will get in contact with microsoft and report him as i can find out where he live because one of my friends is also one of his friends
