Was having problems with Javascript, and discovered that Tools/Internet Options no longer is accessible. I use ADware-SE, Windows Defender and McAfee daily, so don't know if malware is the problem. Any suggestions?

I was told to go to Start/Run regedit then to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Inte rnet Explorer\Restrictions

There was no folder named Internet Explorer...ergo no folder Restrictions.

Can you access Internet Options via the Control Panel?

Nope...can't get there at all. When I click on Tools/Internet Options, a white box flashes and goes away. The icon in Control Panel doesn't even have the words Internet Options beneath it and has a box with three checkmarks obscuring it.

Please read THIS and after completing the steps outlined post a HijackThis log over in that section along with a brief description of your problem.
