i can no longer install windows updates my windows is genuine as i have recently downloaded ie 7 and wmp 11 and windows has to be genuine to download them.

can anybody help as there are over 90 updates ready to install

What happens when you try?

it goes through the download process but when it trys to install them it comes up with another window say "the following updates could not be installed click on the link below each update for more information"

but there is no links under each update.
i have had a look on the net and windows website but i cant find nothing.
i can post the list of updates that cant be installed if i need to.

i picked a random update from the list and downloaded it from windows website and it installed fine but i don't want to have to do that with all of them because as i said there is more than 90 updates

and just incase you needed to know i have got xp pro

could this be anything to do with it

sorry just realized that is something to do with macafee
