Basically, whenever i try to play any video on my pc, on any video playing programme (except for if it is in mp4 format in quick time) the video plays far too large for the screen - as in it fills up the screen, but i can only see the bottom right hand corner (or less.) However the borders, edges and tool bars are all still visible.

This also occurs on all on-line videos, except for on youtube....

please, desperate help required!

What is your default player, which does that?

i use wmp and real, both of which have problems,

Okay. Did you install new hardware or make any other changes just prior to that? Install new software? You might try to undo your changes, or use System Restore to take you back to a date before the problems occurred.

Note this is a common problem when you have more than one like program wrestling for control over the same file types. For that reason, I generally recommend using only one media player.
