    blue screen..

    i get the BSOD errors and i could not get to the desktop even when i use the last known good mode.anyways i could access to my desktop?

    Have you tried Safe Mode itself?

    yup i tried and also tried the safe mode with ms-dos and it's is still the same.

    What is the make and model of the computer?

    What Recovery disk(s) do you have?

    What are the specfic errors?

    msi via pm8m-v =>motherboard
    intel p4 2.60c box pc-800-478 pin =>cpu
    kingston 256/100 ddr ram
    40gb maxtore hdd

    i don have recovery disk as i just format my com and reinstall everything and once i install my wireless lan card driver and restart the come show mi the blue scree with the code message ***STOP:0x0000007E (0xC0000005,0x00001416,0xF96BCF0,0xF96BC3EC)

    If the error coincided with the installation of the LAN card then remove it and see if it starts OK.

    You can try booting your XP CD into the Recovery Console:

    Just another thing to try is boot your XP CD into the Recovery Console and try these two commands: FIXBOOT and FIXMBR.

    If this fails there is not much left but a Clean Install.
