    XP no sound anymore

Hi, for some reason i don't have sound anymore on my PC, can't listen to Itunes or WMP, nothing really.
I check my Realtek Sound manager, but 3D sound is coming when testing. But thats the only sound i get nothing else.

When i check the sound and audio device property it's all grey, can'tadjust anything

    Any suggestion???
    Thanks

The best source for audio drivers is the computer manufacturers web site.

If the computer was custom built then go to the motherboard manufacturers web site.

Go to the driver download section and insert your model number. The drivers will be there.

If you are one of the very few people that actually installed a PCI "Sound Card" then you should have the drivers CD for that card or again go to that manufacturers web site.

found this on anouther web site hope it helps dose sound like a driver problem try rolling back your drivers or system restor

"We had a similar issue with a 5250 recently, if you search "augsburg realtek", you will find it.

Meantime you might try this sound driver:
    http://support.gateway.com/support/d...OEMD915GVAGLG3

There should be an item called setup in the drivers folder. You will need the driver and the realtek software for what I believe is ALC860 device."

did try to remove all i could find about the driver and restore, but when i try to install the "Augsburg Realtek" file, it say that my driver is older than the one i just download and won't install it.
