    Unhappy XP Lost MY Documents

    HI,

I just lost all MY documents contents. I emptied contents of Ali"s because the same files were in the other MY Documents folder.

I have Admin, Ali's, Default & All users. Now all contents are gone. I am only user and sign on as Ali.

Please answer as soon as you can. This is the stupidest thing I have every done.
    Avie

You might try a System Restore to a point prior to your problem:

start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore

Did you look in the Recycle Bin? If there, you can simply restore the My Documents folder.

Look in Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools. You should see System Restore there. Follow the prompts to pick a restore point of a time before you deleted the folder.

Huh? You should also have Character Map, Disk Cleanup, Disk Defragmenter, Security Center, System Information and maybe a couple others. Even a non-administrator account should have those things. You have more things wrong than just a missing My Documents folder. Have you tried searching for the My Documents folder from Start > Search? Or perhaps a specific filename from that folder?

In order to start System Restore from the Task Manager or at a Run... or Command Prompt type:

    %systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe
