XP Pro - All of a sudden I can't get online on one of my desktop machines.
MB is a PC Chips M863. You click on Firefox or Opera and nothing seems to happen.
Something has changed in the XP OS. Packets are being received but not sent out. I installed XP on another drive and then everything works fine but I don't want to lose my desktop icons etc.
Is there anyway to repair the XP install or what is the best solution ????

Try a System Restore to a point prior to the problem.

start > all programs > accessories > system tools > system restore

I'm getting a message on start-up.
A window comes up saying:

Mobile Devices Properties

The TCP/IP Network Transport in not installed.

Is the message any clue???
