Runtime Error
I'm sorry for posting another thread about this, but I searched the forum and my problem seems to be different? The problem started when I installed a game called 'Lunia' yesterday (August Twenty-First). My computer isn't that great, but I uninstalled a few programs after the Lunia download ( MapleStory and Diablo II) to make space. When I open the game I get this error:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Assertion Failed!
Program: C:\LuniaGSP\LuniaClient.exe
File: d:\work\allm\xrated\src\cegui\ce...\CEGUIS...leton .h
Line: 79
Expression: ms_Singleton
For information on how your program can cause an assertion
failure, see the Visual C++ documentation on asserts
(Press Retry to debug the application - JIT must be enabled)
Please Help!
P.S. I was poking around the thread and the term 'HijackThis' came up. Could someone please explain what the term means? Thanks in advance.

HijackThis is a malware detection tool as seen here:
http://www.d-a-l.com/help/showthread.php?t=32403
Your error is often associated with malware but not always.
It could also be a faulty download and as such would be an application error.
Do you have all the latest updates from Windows Update?
-
Where would I check to see if I have these updates?
-
start > All Programs > Windows Update
-
It appears I don't have them all, I'm downloading them as we speak.
Edit: They're finished!

OK. After the reboot try to reinstall that game and see what happens.

No luck, same error

You might as well post a HijackThis log in that section for our Pros to look at:

If they give you an "all clear" over there then return to this thread and we can look further.
